The Tellwut Online Survey Site Launches Blog

Namecheap Reaches 3 Million Domains Under Management

PackFlash Releases New Version of its Integrated Suite of DotNetNuke (DNN) Modules That Allows for Data Sharing Between Websites

PackFlash, developer of superior modules for the DotNetNuke WCMS (Web Content Management System), has just released an updated version of Constellation 3.2, Integrated Module Suite for DNN. This version has the capability to tie 2 or more websites together and share the content on all of those sites. Shared data can include any content put into the PackFlash modules such as news, blogs, webinars, image galleries, videos.

Constellation is a combination of eight core DotNetNuke modules that are fully integrated with each other. No other module suite in the DotNetNuke (DNN) market offers this kind of integration. The modules include News & Blogs, Image Gallery, Slideshow, Friendly URLs, Mega Drop-Down Menu, Comments, Videos and Events Module for DotNetNuke.

When shared, the content is treated like it is part of the new site instead of taking the user back to the original website. This is to make sure that the shared data doesn’t take the user off the site that they are currently browsing, prioritizing engagement on the existing site. Administrators that have permission to see all of the sites are allowed to choose what websites can share data with each other, while website administrators have the ability to decide when to use the data from another website on their particular website pages.

Version 3.2 of the PackFlash Constellation DNN Modules also offers significant functionality upgrades to the Friendly URLs Module to support the multi-site portal data sharing. This functionality includes automatic detection of duplicate content and management of the canonical version of the URL across all of the websites that are sharing content. This will provide comfort to the website owners that they will not realize a search engine penalty that might arise from duplicate content across their web properties.

Additional upgrades to Constellation include a user interface improvement to the Mega Drop-down Menu Module to make it automatically detect and replace the existing menu system, administrative control of all menu settings, additional included themes, and versioning of the menus that are created.

‘The Economist’ Editor Zanny Minton-Beddoes to Keynote Annual Conference

Zanny Minton-Beddoes, economics editor for The Economist and former International Monetary Fund (IMF) economist, will be the keynote speaker Sept.10 at the 2012 Airports Council International – North America/World Conference and Exhibition in Calgary. Minton-Beddoes, an expert on economic policy and issues surrounding globalization, will provide airport officials from around the world unique insight into the global economy, how we got here and what can be expected going forward for global air transportation.

Zanny’s extensive global experience on the most pressing financial issues affecting world commerce will help airports more effectively plan for their futures,” said ACI-NA President Greg Principato.

“The strength or weakness of the global economy has a direct correlation to activity at our worlds’ airports. Having someone of Zanny’s experience and reputation as our keynote speaker in Calgary will certainly give all our members insights into what is on the horizon,” said ACI World Director General Angela Gittens.

The ACI-NA/World Conference and Exhibition will be held Sept. 9-12 at the BMO Centre at the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta Canada. In addition to airport officials from North America, attendees are expected from each of ACI’s regions: ACI Africa, ACI Asia-Pacific, ACI Europe and ACI Latin America. Additionally senior officials from airlines, governments and industry suppliers will attend.

Preconference seminars featuring in-depth information on operations, information technology, legal issues and environmental challenges will also be held Sept. 8 - 9.

In addition to the educational sessions, delegates can visit over 100 exhibitors in the conference Exhibition Hall at the BMO Centre.
